Folks should never underestimate the power of the written word. This blog was originally created to alert the people of a huge mistake made by the 2007 voters. It took less than 18 months and a whole lot of work by area citizens to get he people to see WHO they voted for.
i am interested in how many people sign up tonight to tell the board... good job i support you. i would think they have several, maybe 4 or 5. lol lets see who says it.

The issue with Billy Anderson is the real reason these folks got elected. You may say this issue was in the past but everyone is paying for it now. Every one involved with it either resigned and went on to greener pastures or retired. Now Mr. Burleson is taking the rap...

Why is Tracy allowed to vote? Isn't the chairperson only allowed to vote in the event of a tie? If so, then the motion to renew passed three to two. Why is no one calling a point of order on this?
because it is not a real reason. because Tracy, Tim and Karen are willing to go down in flames to keep from admitting that they are wrong... pride goeth before the fall... odds are that if Hairfield is smart he will throw them under the bus, before he resigns.
they voted to hire special counsel and spend hundreds of thousands in legal fees. and still get rid of 70 something teachers, keep an assist super that david didnt want, pay the techie person more than the lst qualified person. Everyone move your kids to morganton christian academy
thanks for making this School System the laughing stock of the south Tracy,Tim,Karen, Rob and David. I do not care that you resigned, and the rest of the public will not either. Hope you plan to move when you are either thrown out, resign or voted out.
Gee, I don't think that listening to 4 hours of public comment which was very clear on several points and then having 2 votes on issues people consistently stated their opinion on as parents, taxpayer, educators etc is going to appease (forgive me if the spelling on that is wrong) the accredidation folks one bit. They just dug the hole a little deeper.
I have seen that people are saying to let the system lose its accredidation to prove a point. As a parent of 2 high achieving model high school juniors that is just not acceptable. I will have 3 children in college in 2010 and we are relying on financial aid after each child gets in to the best school possible. They have worked too hard to have doors closed to them at this point, not due to anything they have or have not done.
Tracy is allowed to vote. I don't know why. I used to go to the board meetings when Mr. Martinat was the chairman of the board. He always voted because the count was usually 5-2 because Tim and Tracy were the minority. By the way, the majority of the last school board had a nickname too. Does anyone remember what it was?
Someone said that his Dad beat him like a horse....they had to have hit him in the head, that's why he is do dang STUPID. And bty, why don't someone ask Tim if he has shined his ears today. That's Trashy's favorite saying to him? Ain't that SWEET?

190 people at patton high school tonight. maybe 195.
4:47 PM, the auditorium, cafe and gym are packed. auditorium alone holds 600 people.
350 in cafeteria, 800 in auditorium, and gym is full. It has been recorded 2500 people n attendance.
