Teachers and Principals get a copy of their evaluations. I am just interested in what's best for the kids and finding out ALL of the truth.
Mr. Burleson opened his personnel file to the public. I believe if the skool bored "had anything on him" Mr. Burleson's attorney would have never let him make that file public. The question is who took the evaluations. It is rumored that Tim and Tracy spend a lot of time looking through personnel files of all BCPS employees. Everyone would like ALL the truth but we will never get it as long as Tim and Tracy are in control. In the past several members of this board have leaked closed session information to the public. Don't you think if they had something bad they would be shouting it from the roof tops?
I don't think David's main concern is clearing his name. 2000 people did that last night. I would not just release my personal copies. I would be working with my lawyer and building a case against the board.
I think David did release all of the copies of his evals after it was revealed that the originals were missing. The fact that the originals are missing after tracey spent hours in the personnel office the day they terminated the contract is suspect. this is the same day she called the schools to see which teachers took the day off.

Mr. Brandon moved to approve Addendum A (resignation of Billy Anderson), with a second from Mr. Simmons. Mrs. Norman stated she could not accept the addendum with the attached terms. Mr. Martinat stated he was not sure how the vote would go. Mr. Martinat stated he was troubled, saddened, and sick to raise his hand either way, but would vote because this individual had chosen to ask for the resignation. The motion carried with four ayes. Mr. Buff, Mr. Simmons, Mr. Martinat, and Mr. Brandon voted aye. Mr. Wilkinson, Mrs. Norman, and Mr. Armour vote nay.
Mr. Martinat asked Mr. Aycock to immediately begin the process of investigating a comment/rumor that stated if students and others did not stop talking about the Billy Anderson issue a board member in the east would have their house burned down. He asked Mr. Aycock to report his findings.

Thefts in locker rooms have occurred forever. Locker room thefts occurred at East Burke High School. Students set up a video camera in the locker room during a PE class. School administration and the school resource officer took possession of the video and turned it over to the Sheriff's Department. Representatives from the Sheriff's Department viewed the video and determined no crime was committed on the video. He indicated the person on the tape stated he was looking for something that had been stolen from him. The professionals that viewed the tape felt this was the case. Sheriff McDevitt indicated he did not feel a crime was committed on the tape. The video is now in the possession of one of the parents of the students involved. Many rumors are everywhere. This incident may not have been handled properly and for that, I apologize. An investigation was done by proper officials and the school is trying to remedy thefts from occurring in the locker rooms. Thefts in schools happen. We need students' help to prevent this from happening. The school is considering assigning teachers in the locker rooms. The school is trying to protect students' possessions while they are at school.
Mr. Chiz asked if any action had been taken against the teacher involved. Mr. Martinat responded that the teacher was questioned and the incident discussed with him. The teacher also had money taken and was in the locker room looking for it. He added it was not a wise decision for the teacher to search the locker room without another adult present, but that was the reason given by the teacher for being in the locker room. Mr. Chiz remarked that the teacher should not have been searching through private things by himself and this should be addressed properly. Mr. Martinat stated law officials viewed the tape and felt there was no crime committed. Mr. Martinat admitted the individual should not have handled this the way he did.
Mr. Buff shared his concern that there had not been a board meeting since December 4 and although he had seen emails concerning this incident and thought the board members would get together collectively to discuss the incident, this did not happen. He felt all board members should have been privy to information concerning the incident. He spoke directly to the DA and the Asst. DA and they stated they had not seen the tape, nor had they been asked to view the tape. Mr. Martinat responded that would have to be taken up with the Sheriff because he thought they had looked at the tape. Mr. Buff asked the superintendent to contact the Sheriff's Department and obtain any reports from this investigation. Mr. Buff asked the superintendent if he had seen the tape and he answered that he had seen the tape.
Mrs. Norman stated she spoke to Sheriff McDevitt on December 22 and was told he had not watched the video, but he facilitated a meeting between Mr. Burleson, John McDevitt, Assistant DA, and SBI agent, and the only reason he (McDevitt) had the tape was to keep it in safe-keeping in their evidence locker. Sheriff McDevitt told her no investigation had been completed by the SBI, the Sheriff's Department, or the District Attorney because no report had been filed. He said if a report was filed by a parent or a student, he would refer it to the SBI for an investigation. If an investigation had been done by any of these agencies, Mrs. Norman state she would like to receive copies of those reports.

Now after being rehired Mr. Burleson's personnel files are missing.
It seems there is a problem with security and personal information when Rick is in the same building.
