School board member questions pay, days off
Are some central office staff entitled to both?
What struck me as odd is this quote from the article.
Board member Tracy Norman said she doesn’t believe these employees are receiving their full compensation.
Looking at Tracy's previous record, school board not criminal, where she voted not to renew contracts of many Central Office administrators, it is hard to beleive that she is now concerned that they didn't get the right pay/bonus days dating back to 2001.
Would someone who understands this situation leave a comment and I will turn it into a post?

I believe that "in the interest of Good Will, Buff and his loyal serf intend to win over some administrators whose contracts they won't get a chance to vote down - like those who are retiring soon.
What they don't realize is that should the board vote to reward those days to Central Office people who were given a raise, two things will happen:
1)All the administrators whose contracts they DID vote against will get those days in CASH when they retire. All who have retired SINCE 2005 will get those days in CASH, and it will all come from local money,i.e. the Burke County taxpayers - Lord Buff's buddies.
2)The poor saps that just got the DAYS as a reward from the state will be wanting the RAISE they DIDN'T get! Can you blame them? And THAT money will come from local dollars as well.
There goes Hairfield's anti-door-to-door school fundraiser plan!!

It's a smoke screen. Those two just want to appear as good guys. She has cuddled up to Jim Causby, retired Wake County Superintendent and now the state's administrators' union leader. Of course Causby is going to say a school system can award both the bonus days (a total of 25 days! - just over a month's salary)and the raise. But local money will have to cover what the state would not.
Tracy wants you to think she is smart. Some fools do.
I can not believe that Ms. Norman had the guts to tell a well respected teacher to go back and do your job in the classroom and I "we the board" will do ours. We'll Ms. know it all Norman what excatly is your job. I believe you are bagging more than grocerys at the Buff supercenter.

Tracy was defending Chet Pack now retired administrator whom randall screwed over.He does this to everyone. Randall has told maintenence men that he will outlast this board.His contract runs out june 2010.They, meaning rob, tim, karen, and david will be up for re-election 2011. Do the math.See you randall.
