Students

Tracy Norman doesn't think to highly of you.  She doesn't feel you can handle hearing a "bad" word or reading about atrocities that happen every day.  Let us know what you feel in the comments.  I am hoping one of you students can make it in to a youtube video.

I will get you started.

As a student, I can be trusted to hear foul language and not repeat it.

Let me learn about the atrocities of the world, I maybe one person that can help.

Teachers and parents you can help too

The students should let their voices be heard. Students, let everyone know your opinion of the book by responding on this blog. Also, if every student and parent who is insulted by how little Tracy and Tim think of your judgment would give them a call/send a card or letter, then maybe they would see that the parents and schools of our county are doing a great job teaching you. Don't let Tracy belittle your intelligence any longer. The board members addresses are listed on the BCPS website. Make that call! Send that card! Tracy is trying to take away your right to an appropriate educate. Use your right to speak to let you know what you think of that!

Oops. I should have written Use your right to speak to let her know what you think of that!

I heard the KKK was coming to town to pay someone a visit who lives on Barrier Loop.

Why not put Buddy and Sam's address down and you may should check wth the aclu before putting their name on this blog

Anonymous said...

Why, is the ACLU's address a secret?

Anonymous said...

9:21 pm, who is glen ray chapman????

First of all, Buddy and Sam's addresses are on the BCPS page. They probably weren't listed because it doesn't matter what they actually think; the other five will disagree with them on principle. Also, what is wrong with giving out the ACLU address? It's public information, and everyone has the right to contact them if they want. If the ACLU didn't want people to have its address, it wouldn't be listed on their website.

Wilkinson and Armour have let their positions be known. Wilkinson spoke of the need for academic freedom and the need to follow policy. Armour was pretty clear as to where he stood in the article in Sunday's Charlotte Observer.

They both understand the need to allow students under the supervision and guidance of educational professionals to be free to read and learn about the truth - no matter how ugly or how pleasant. Those two do not live in a vacuum.

But they cannot stop the insanity alone. They need the help of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and anyone else willing to stand against this mission of the new board majority.

Anybody hear about a PTO meeting a few nights back at Oak Hill? Word has it that a member of the current school board made quite an "impression".

Anonymous said...

What is the PTO meeting comment about? Did a board member attend or did Tim just send his wife to this meeting for him like he did the Draughn community meeting?
